Reviews:
"This album is long on soul, plain and simple - it's there in Peter
Broggs' unadorned, unassuming vocals, the rich bass lines of Chris Meredith, and
the ever-present rhythm guitar of Brian Silverman. Broggs has long been a cult
favorite among reggae connoisseurs, and Reggae In Blues, though heavy on synths
and new sounds, does not disappoint. The premise of a bluesy reggae album isn't
really what this is about. This album is closer to the soul roots of reggae, imbued
with a modern, underlying "world music" flavor that only serves to underscore
the irrepressible universality of reggae's irresistible pulse." CMJ New
